Meet the “Real Wahms” Jodi & Kimber
Jodi and Kimber met each other briefly in 2003 through a company that they had each partnered with in 2002-2003.
Because they were not on the same team, financially linked and lived nearly an hour away from each other, their connection wasn’t exactly immediate.
Jodi likes to say that they both “sized each other up” for the first couple of years and then they kept a close eye on each other… with a competitive spirit, but Kimber whole heartedly disagrees. She thought Jodi was adorable and wanted to be just like her. LOL
Anyway, the truth was that their future connection was going to be one that would change and impact both of their lives and they were in store for a great journey together that God had planned for them!
In 2006, finally, they were forced to face each other at a rather intense training event and somehow, they both got over their “egos” and their bond was instantly created and the rest is history! Jodi and Kimber, from that day forward, came together united as work at home moms in their company and in this industry. The became very dedicated to helping others who were like them…just ordinary mommies who loved their children and craved for other women to have the freedom that they had been given.
Both Jodi and Kimber, working together and applying the skills they learned from this training and their experience in the industry, created these 6 figure incomes and million dollar sales organizations while collaborating with each other and merging their teams together with a spirit of unity while still honoring the diversity within both their groups.
The two teams, under the direction and help of a few other leaders, created the Start Serious Team. Start Serious’ main values were not only to create teams that were earning great incomes, but also living a “God-centered”, “Family Focused”, “debt-free”, “charity driven” life!
They ran from creating teams based on “hype,” materialism and promises of “instant income” but sowed into their teams a spirit of excellence, focus on a balanced family/work life and not sacrificing it, working smart and not hard and also giving the glory to God first and foremost for all of it!
Although their paths in this industry may not always be exactly the same as Jodi continues to direct the “Start Serious Team” and Kimber has now started “Our Destiny Team”, they have continued to support and encourage each other towards their destinies that are in store for both of their families in this industry.
They do not believe in competition in this industry as they believe there are many great companies and products out there that people can prosper in.
The key is to find the one you are passionate about, increase your skill-set, take immediate action and you can do it too!
They have learned from many other successful women and men in this industry in many companies and honor and respect the path and teams that they have created. They were part of a year long, intense Mentorship program with other 6 & 7 figure income earners and developed strong relationships and friendships with many of them and continue to support them in their efforts to change this industry, collectively together!
Jodi and Kimber are living proof that you don’t have to be on the same team or company to help lift up other Wahms in this industry! They are very serious about helping Wahms show the rest of the moms out there that there is another way–working a home is a REAL viable option for many!
Their passion is to help Wahms out there that may not have a great support team or leadership for whatever reason in their own teams or companies.
They look for the Wahm “orphans” with the intention of just helping and encouraging them right where they are and to “prosper where they are planted.”
The Real Wahms is intended to be a “safe environment” for other Wahms to come to be inspired by many moms (and dads) in this industry no matter what company they are in.
You won’t find us list building for our companies and teams here. Many think we are crazy but we believe in just giving back freely for all that we have been given and we know we serve a Big God that takes care of us as we sow into other people and encourage them where they are! All of us in this industry, have a responsibility to lift up this industry and not be like many that are competitive and interested in tearing down other teams and incomes by cross-sponsoring/raiding from other companies (that is really what gives our industry such a bad name and taste for others).
We honor and respect you right where you are. God planted you there for a reason and the truth is that if there is one other successful person in your company, then you can do it too!
Sometimes you might just need a little outside encouragement from others who have already paved the path and that’s what TRW is here for!
How did you meet Kimber? I found her at the side of the road and I thought, “someone needs to take care of her.” She was cute and she was strong so I thought maybe she could help me around the house. NO, seriously Kimber and I meet though my first company. We were not on the same team and not financially linked and many times working cross-line is hard and challenging, however Kimber and I just jumped into our own rhythm and set up co-ops and systems for both of our teams. There was plenty to go around.
Was this a new industry for you? Yes. I was never a “networker” but it intrigued me. I would daydream what it would be like to not have a boss or employees but to have all the money I needed and the time freedom to play with my family and friends. I was fortunate to find a great company and product for my first mlm adventure. Now I just plain Love it!
Where did I come from? I came from Corporate America. I have worked at Holiday Health Spa, Nordstom, Five States, Nextel, and @road.
Why did the two of you hook up as business partners? I have strengths in website building and systems and she has strengths like amazing copywriting and she is rather clever. Kimber gets stuff done and together we are wickedly strong. We compliment each other. She is the super smart one and she keeps me around for comic relief.
What do you like about this industry? The people. It is fun building together and helping everyone achieve their goals. Working together as a team on fire!
What do you dislike about this industry? Home Parties and Public Speaking, oh yeah and Kimber always being right.
How did you meet Jodi? Now you get to hear the real truth.(whatever) Jodi actually saw me at an event and sized me up and said, “who is that and let her know to step aside, because Jodi is in the room!” Seriously, Jodi and I met a few times at company events but because of the distance we lived from each other and not being on the same team, it wasn’t until we traveled together to a couple outside training events that our connection was made. Jodi tries to make it sound like we were competitive but truly God brought us together because he could see that we each had strengths that each other needed. That’s what team work is truly about, right? Not being it all but allowing others strengths to help you out! 
Was this a new industry for you? Absolutely! In fact, I hated this industry! I had a ton of negative beliefs regarding it but the experience that I had on the product that was introduced to me and my love to help people far out weighed those negative things so I went kicking and screaming into a industry that I now love!
Where did I come from? Umm….my momma’s womb! I was already a stay at home mom of 3 boys but had worked previously in banking, collections and this may surprise you as a intern for FAA Air Traffic Controller– Aren’t you glad I didn’t take that route…you airways are still safe! (Kimber-an air traffic controller?)
Why did the two of you hook up as business partners? Someone paid me a ton of money to throw her a bone! (WHO!~)No really.. I truly believe that sometimes God places people in your life that you were destined to meet. Not only did our strengths compliment each other but we have also helped to support each other through challenges and the growth we have both had over the years.
What do you like about this industry? I love the freedom it provides me and my family. I love the relationships that I have built with so many of my team leaders’ from all over the country that have impacted my life that I would have otherwise never had met had it not been for this industry. I love that I feel like I can serve God and others right where I was planted!
